Self-limiting heating tapes work independently: they regulate their heating power depending on the rise in temperature, which guarantees that there is no further heating-up when the end temperature is reached and that the temperature stays constant. If there are changes in temperature in some sections of the heating tape, the respective sections adapt independently to the ambient temperature. Thus, a uniform heating is guaranteed. As it is no problem if the heating tapes overlap each other, they are especially suitable for uneven surfaces like pumps, valves and junctions. The heating tapes can be supplies as yard ware with a finishing set for the individual installation on-site. However, it is also possible to order them ready-made according to your requirements.
HBRC - 65 °C Self-Limiting Heating Tape with Low Working Temperature Since the temperature is restricted to 65 °C, this selflimiting heating tape is suitable for plastic pipes and plastic containers.
Self-Limiting Heating Tape with High Working Temperature This selflimiting heating tape is designed for a working temperature of 120 °C. Thus, it can be used for installations that are cleaned with steam. There is no starting current when the heating circuit starts working.
